Registered Veterinary Technicians

Kenzie is Midway Animal Hospitals' Lead Veterinary Technician.  She has been in the veterinary medicine field for 10 years, of which she has been a Registered Veterinary Technician for the last 7 years.  From a very young age, Kenzie knew she wanted to work with animals, so she worked hard to make her dream come true.  

She lives on a farm with her husband, daughter and 5 dogs.  In her spare time she loves to garden, go on outdoor adventures and spend time with family and friends.

For the last 20 years, Shannon has enjoyed being a Registered Veterinary Technician.  She joined Midway Animal Hospital 2 years ago.  When asked what is your favorite part of the job , her response was simple.  "I love educating pet parents and helping our furry patients live long and happy lives. "

Shannon has 3 Huskies, 1 Great Dane and a bearded dragon.  She also has 3 children and 2 grandchildren... soon to be 3!  In her spare time you might find her working out at the gym or spending time with her family and friends.

 Megan has been in the veterinary field for the last 10 years and has spent the last 8 years as a Registered Veterinary Technician.  In March 2023, she joined the Midway team.  Megan enjoys her job as a technician and her ability to help so many animals in addition to educating the clients on what they can do to give their pets healthier, happier lives. 

Outside of work Megan loves to spend time camping with her Husband, son and two dogs; Blaze and Beau. 

 Jen graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at an area college in Nov. 2021.  Shortly thereafter she joined the Midway Animal Hospital team.  When Jen was asked what she likes most about working at Midway Animal Hospital, she said “the family atmosphere and the kindness shown to every fur baby that walks through our doors.”

Talking about fur babies, Jen and her fiancée have 3 cats; Charlie, Welch, and Toast.  Two of the three are all black and the third is black with white.  When she isn’t working, Jen enjoys working out at her local gym and spending time with her family.  

Corry, a Registered Veterinary Technician joined the Midway Animal Hospital team in May, 2024.  Over the last 8+ years, she has enjoyed being able to help owners have more quality time with their furry friends, through education on healthier options.

In Corry's spare time, she plays Women's Roller Derby,  enjoys nature, and all things related to animals.  She has a love for helping animals live a healthier life.  She has 2 cats, 1 snake and 3 children.  

Karis joined our team in the spring of 2022 as a Veterinary Assistant.  Prior to working at Midway Animal Hospital, she worked in healthcare, you could say that her love of helping others is ingrained in who she is.  Growing up Karis enjoyed competitive horse riding and participating in 4H, as well as working on the family horse farm.  

Her compassion and love for animals made her a great fit for Midway Animal Hospital.  When she isn't working or casually riding her horses, Karis enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 cats (Charlie, Willow and Maverick) and her new puppy Hondo.  

 Katelynn's childhood dream has been to become veterinarian and be a voice for animals in need.  She has earned her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science while working for the last 2 years as a Veterinary Assistant at Midway Animal Hospital. 

Working as a Veterinary Assistant has strengthened her determination and aspiration to become a voice of animals in need.  Katelynn's future desire is to practice alongside Dr. Huff here at Midway Animal Hospital.

In her free time, Katelynn enjoys listening to music, spending time with friends & family, and spoiling her fur children - Goose a Rottweiler and Moose a long hair Chihuahua.

 You might recognize Kelsey by her infectious laugh.  Kelsey has been with Midway Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant for 1 year.  Prior to working in a clinic, she trained horses and managed show barns for 3+ years. 

As a child, she grew up raising farm animals and taking part in 4H.  Her dream job has always been to work with animals, especially in a clinic setting.  In her free time , Kelsey enjoys being outside in nature and hanging out with friends.  She has a dog named Artemis and a cat named Sketti, whom she loves dearly. 

 Megan or more well known as “Meg” has been with Midway Animal Hospital since early January 2021.  She is currently studying to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.  Did we mention she is almost finished with her courses? 

She has the best study partners, since most of her free time is spent studying when not working.  Onyx and Mordecai, her cats not only help her study, they are great at cuddling.  Booker Dewitt is her bearded dragon, he too does his part to help Meg study.  Outside of working and studying, Meg makes time to soak in vitamin D by getting outdoors and hiking with her boyfriend.

 For the last 4 years, Miranda has been a Veterinarian Assistant fine tuning her skills. In May, she became a Veterinary Assistant for Midway Animal Hospital!  Her love of animals extends beyond her day job; she has a dog (Willow), a turtle (Felix), a snake (Excalibur) and a Betta Fish (Swimothy).

In her free time, Miranda loves to travel and explore mother nature.  During the summer, she and Willow hike and tent camp.  In winter, you will find her in Michigan snowboarding.  One of her goals is to visit all 50 states.  Miranda is well on her way of accomplishing this goal, as she has already visited 25 states!!

Kacie, is currently an undergraduate student studying animal science with an emphasis in pre-veterinary medicine.   For the last 3 years, in her free time, she has been an Intern at Midway Animal Hospital.  Kacie plans to pursue a career as a doctor of veterinary medicine.   As if going to college full time and interning isn't enough, Kacie also is a semi-truck operator at a local distribution hub. 

Kacie enjoys spending time with her 3 pups and her 3 ball pythons.   Her love for supporting animals is leading her to spend the month of June, traveling abroad to support homeless families and shelter animals. She is looking forward to taking this opportunity to further her education and spread awareness for those in need!
