Megan H.
Megan has been working at Midway Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant while studying at The Ohio State University. After graduating with her bachelor's degree in animal sciences, she joined the Midway team full-time while applying to veterinary schools.
In August 2025, she started her first year at OSU's College of Veterinary Medicine. Megan has agreed to join Dr. Huff as a full-time veterinarian upon her graduation from OSU in the spring of 2029.
Mikayla C.
Mikayla graduated from Kent State University in December 2025 with a degree in Pre-Vet and immediately joined our team as a full-time veterinary assistant while applying to veterinary programs. She was accepted to The Ohio State University Veterinary College for the Fall 2026 term.
Over the next four years, Mikayla will return to work with us during her school breaks. Additionally, she has agreed to join Dr. Huff as a full-time veterinarian upon her graduation from OSU in the spring of 2030.
Current College Interns
Brooklyn T.
Born and raised in Lexington, KY, Brooke has had a lifelong passion for animals, large and small. She is currently enrolled in the pre-vet program at BGSU and brings extensive experience working with farm animals—from daily care and feeding to deworming, castrating piglets, and handling bull calves and delivering goats. Be sure to ask her about all the different farm animals she has cared for!
Here at Midway Animal Hospital, Brooke is focused on expanding her small animal skills, fine-tuning her holding techniques, and giving your pets plenty of care and attention when they visit us. At home, she has two dogs of her own; Skipper (blue heeler/Australian shepherd) and Bastian (American bully).
Maggie M.
Maggie, a pre-veterinary student at BGSU who is currently interning with us. During her internship, she is gaining valuable hands-on experience in small animal handling and treatments.
Maggie was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, alongside
four dogs, two cats, toads, fish, and ducks. She truly loves all animals she comes into contact with, big and small.
