Know the Signs of a Pet Emergency

Some emergencies, such as seizures or an automobile accident are obvious, and others are not.  Not every emergency is immediately life threatening, but all emergencies should be evaluated as soon as possible by Dr. Huff and his team.


There are certain situations that require prompt medical attention. Please call us immediately if your pet is experiencing any of the following emergencies.

Please call us at (419) 354-3986 and provide us with basic information so we are ready when you arrive:


  1. First and Last Name of the account holder.
  2. Account holders current address, phone number and email address.
  3. The pet's name, age, breed and coloring.
  4.  Detailed description of the emergency, when it started and any steps you have take before calling us.

 If you need help bringing your pet into the building, please call us when you are in the parking lot.  Our team is ready to assist you.


We will perform an initial triage exam on your pet to assess their condition.  In some cases, we may need to stabilize your pet by administering treatments and observing them for hours/days. In other cas

Once your beloved pet is ready to be discharged, you will receive discharge instructions and possible medications.
